Invitation for System Demonstation Submissions
The SLT 2010 invites proposals for the Demonstrations Program. Areas of interest include all topics listed for the conference paper submission:
- Spoken language understanding
- Speech data mining
- Spoken document summarization
- Machine translation for speech
- Spoken language based systems
- Spoken language generation
- Question answering from speech
- Human/Computer Interaction
- Spoken information extraction
- Spoken document retrieval
- Multimodal processing
- Spoken dialog systems
- Spoken language systems
- Spoken language databases
- Natural Language Processing
Submission Process for Demo Session
There are two alternative ways to propose a demo:
1. Authors can click on the "will present a demo" button when they are submitting a workshop paper by July 16. If the paper is accepted, they agree to present a demo with their poster. They don't need to submit an abstract if the paper is accepted, but information on equipment requirements should be sent to the Demo Chairs (email below) by September 17, 2010. (SLT will provide a table, poster board, and power)
2. Authors can submit a 1-2 page abstract for demo presentations by September 17, 2010. These will be reviewed by the demo chairs and accepted/rejected for presentation. The abstracts should briefly outline the demonstration, including application, system design. Additionally, information should be provided onInformation on equipment requirements (SLT will provide a table, poster board, and power).
Note: Demonstration applications may optionally include a single video file that exemplifies the results of the work.

Fees
There are no fees for demos, but all demo presenters will have to register for SLT 2010.
